
My Story
I was invited to sit in the hospital's family room, I remember the box of tissues on the table, the blue chairs, the kind face of the nurse, they explained my 10 month-old son had cancer.

It was this moment, and the journey that followed, that left my nervous system completely dysregulated and in a constant state of stress.
​
After finding breathwork practice, and later, cold water therapy, I was able to heal the blocked trauma and move into a calmer restorative state.
​
Cold water immersion and breathwork became the perfect recipe for my healing. It allowed me to manage the PTSD from my son’s diagnosis and reach a level of resilience and growth I craved for many years.
​

That is why I am here.

I could take what I’ve learned and keep it to myself. But I know there is power and meaning to my story and these self-healing methods can truly change the course of your life - as they did mine. So, that is how Just Be was born.
​
I have a deep knowing that I need to share these tools and guide people on their healing journey.
My mission with Just Be is to teach these methods so you can learn how to breathe intentionally, connect within and regulate your nervous system.

I have researched, practised and absorbed everything I can about breathwork and cold water therapy for the past four years. I wanted to start living again, to feel like me, following the amazing news my son was on the path to recovery.

Qualifications & Training
​
So that you know you are in safe hands, I thought it would be helpful to know..
​
I am a qualified Oxygen Advantage Functional Breathing Instructor.
​
I further expanded my Breathwork knowledge and qualified as a Breathe Instructor specialising in Nervous System Regulation, and Emotional Healing. Fully accredited by IPHM.
​
I have undertaken training in cold water, achieving a diploma in Cold Water Therapy, and also qualifying as a Cold Water Immersion Instructor, a globally accredited course.
​
I hold a Level 3 Emergency First Aid qualification.
​
I am passionate about keeping my skills and knowledge up to date, and I regularly complete training in areas of interest and importance. You will also always find me with my head in a book or listening to a podcast.
​
When holding space for you, it is important that I take care of myself. I am committed to working on my own self development, including my own practices of breathwork, journaling and emerging myself in cold water.

Work with me
Breathwork can be defined as the conscious awareness and use of our breath to enhance our physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. We breathe over 22,000 times a day without thinking about it, but when we bring our awareness to how we breathe and we learn how to optimise the breath, amazing things can happen.

I also offer Breathwork combined with Cold Water Immersion, or as I like to refer to it as the 'Soul Plunge' experience. Coldwater Immersion is renowned for boosting your mood (thank you dopamine!), improving your sleep, equipping you to better manage stress, as well as boost your immunity.
​
I will guide you into the cold when you are feeling calm, regulated and safe. We will complete breathing techniques to encourage feelings of relaxation and stillness. We will breathe to create space in the body. We will breathe to reduce blood pressure and lower heart rate.
​
The fear of experiencing something new, the discomfort of the cold, this combination can make you feel nervous. So spending time to bring feelings of calm and safety provides the ideal starting point before you journey into the cold.
